Pamela is thrilled to be playing the part of Cobweb in A Midsummers Night’s Dream. The role of a fairy is one Pamela is very much looking forward to playing due to its fun, light-hearted nature and because she is eager to take on the challenge of playing not only a comedic character but also performing Shakespeare. As well as being a member of Gatecrash, she has also taken part in a few of their productions: Tasty Improv Comedy Feast at Swindon Fringe Festival in April and last year’s project, The Crucible. Pamela also works closely with other groups in and around Swindon, including WBLOS and recently took part in their musical of Singin’ In The Rain. Pamela works as a teacher and assistant at Pauline Quirke Academy and also freelances as a Stage Manager. She has worked closely in this role with the director, Anna Friend’s own company.

Beth studied drama and acting at New College and attended Julie Scott’s Academy of Performing Arts where she took classes in jazz, street and musical theatre. Whilst at college Beth co-devised the play Under the Bridge which won the June Thompson Memorial Cup for Dramatic Endeavour at the Harold Jolliffe One Act Play Festival, performed in Blackout at the Bristol Old Vic as part of National Theatre Connections and played Martirio in The House of Bernarda Alba. Beth became a member of Gatecrash Evolve in January and is due to begin a degree in Theatre and Performance Studies in the autumn. Beth has always loved the magical characters and language of Shakespeare’s plays so is very excited to be performing in A Midsummer Night’s Dream!
Played by Diana Fairbrass
Diana is a very open, understanding and caring individual, who really loves anything to do with art and expressing herself. She has a very warm and loving nature and is really passionate to help people in need or to listen to someone in need of a shoulder to cry on. She is a Cricklade town councillor, has 3 children, currently is studying a course in children and young people in the workforce, is a member of Gatecrash Ignite Theatre group, and is an active volunteer for her local school and children’s centre.
