‘This course helped me understand more about what I can achieve and what my mind can unleash by being anybody sharing experiences with others in any place under any circumstances that can be imagined. As a non-actor, this course was an expected delight and has opened up a desire to make improv a passion I follow.’
Pev, course attendee.
Due to popular demand Gatecrash now hosts several training opportunities in Improvisation. Improvisation, or improv, is a form of live theatre in which the plot, characters and dialogue of a game, scene or story are made up in the moment. Often improvisers will take a suggestion from the audience, or draw on some other source of inspiration to get started. All of our improv work is led by Associate Artist and Professional Improviser John Lomas. For details on our up and coming Improv based performances please click here. It should be noted that ANYONE who has previously attended the INTERMEDIATE OR BEGINNER’S course is invited to re-attend the same course FREE of charge as a refresher IF they are registered to attend the next workshop level in the series.

Advanced Improvisation Course (10 weeks)
And now for the next level!
This fun 10 week course is aimed at getting improv out of the workshop and onto the stage! The course will end with a public performance of an entirely improvised play!
The course is suitable for improvers to advanced improvisers including anyone who has completed the intermediate course. We are using this course to source the troupe for Gatecrash’s ongoing Improv Collective who will perform and be paid from Gatecrash Events including Swindon Fringe 2017.
